NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The New Rochelle Friends of the Library holds its monthly book sale Friday, Jan. 13, and Saturday, Jan. 14.

Hard cover fiction and non-fiction, health, children’s books, classics, holiday-themed items, cookbooks, history religion, art, short stories, trade paperbacks, reference, poetry, videos, greeting cards, cd's DVD's and gift books will be available for purchase with all proceeds going towards funding for children and adult programs.

The group's next book sale is Feb. 10 and 11.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Two lanes southbound on the Saw Mill River Parkway were blocked Tuesday evening due to a multiple car accident on just south of Exit 20 near the I-287 in Elmsford.

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - The National Weather Service posted a thunderstorm warning for southern Westchester County at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The storms could be accompanied by lightning, hail and high winds of up to 50 mph, the weather service said.
