Former Mount Vernon Girls Basketball Star Accused Of Slashing Bouncer

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A former Mount Vernon High School girls basketball player was charged Sunday in New York City with "slashing a night club bouncer," according to a report from LoHud.

Tatiana Lewin told LoHud she was "merely defending herself" from a security guard who "beat her and tried to drag her from the club by her hair," according to the report. Lewin was involved in the incident after 5 a.m. in Manhattan, according to the report.

Lewin was arraigned on felony assault and misdemeanor weapon charges and ordered to appear in court in February, according to the report.
