The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday when the woman, driving a black Lexus, pulled up to the store at 1125 Central Park Ave., and hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, crashing through the window, police said.

The unidentified driver received minor injuries as well as a store employee who had a shelf fall on them. None of the injuries were serious and the driver declined treatment, said Lt. Kobie Towell.

The Greenville Fire Department, along with officials from the Greenville Building Department evacuated the building to make sure it was structurally safe to enter and remain open, he said.

Once the vehicle was removed, the store was boarded up and it was back to business.
