NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- It's time for local businesses to renew their annual registration with the city with the deadline on Jan. 31.
The registration program, established last year, requires all businesses to register with the city and renew their registration annually. The information collected assists in the creation of a comprehensive business directory, and is used to share emergency alerts as well as notification of business-related events and opportunities.
There is no fee to register; however, failure to register/renew by the deadline could result in a penalty of $50 per month, up to a maximum of $350.
Businesses can sign-up online at www.newrochelleny.com/business . The information portal is available in both English and Spanish.
The registration requirement includes the retail store component of any not-for-profit entity, as well as regular retail businesses. Additional information is available on the city's website or by contacting Lisa Davis, business ambassador at 914-654-2189 or email@example.com .
