Cops: Bronxville Woman Assaulted in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Dominque Richardson, 21, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony, for assaulting a 23-year-old Bronxville resident with a bracelet at a Huguenot Street and North Avenue bus stop Saturday night, according to New Rochelle Police Captain Joseph Schaller.

Richardson also punched the victim during a dispute over a man, Schaller said.

The victim suffered cuts on her right hand and scrapes on her right elbow and left knee. She also obtained a small abrasion on the left side of her forehead.

The following incidents also were reported by New Rochelle Police:

Drug Arrest: Michael Carey, 27, was arrested for criminal possession of narcotic drugs, a felony, following a traffic stop on North Avenue at the Hutchinson River Parkway Saturday, Schaller said.

Carey was found with 30 Oxycontin and 17 Xanax pills, police said.

Burglary: A home at 74 Lincoln St. was broken into between the evening of March 16 and Saturday.

The New Rochelle resident discovered that a $3,500 engagement ring, jewelry and earrings were missing from the home after returning from a stay with in-laws. There was no evidence of forced entry. Small pry marks were noticed under a screen that is easy to open.  

Theft From Car: Various items were taken from a vehicle parked at 25 Gerada Lane including a coach purse, a pair of prescription sunglasses and a wallet. The passenger side window of the car was broken.

Stolen Motorcycle: A 2012 Yamaha RC motorcycle valued at $11,469 disappeared from a parking lot at 34 Davenport Ave. on Friday.
