Con Edison Gives $20,000 To Jacob Burns Film Center

“Generous support from Con Edison and our other corporate, foundation and individual donors helps JBFC ensure access to thousands of students who can benefit from fee waivers and scholarships,” Emily Keating, JBFC Director of Education, said.

The funds will be used for “year-round education programs taking place in Westchester County schools, community organizations, social service agencies and the JBFC Media Arts Lab,” the center said in a press release.

The film center hopes to engage more than 14,000 students in a range of educational programs will the donation.

Con Edison has supported the Burns Film Center for the past six years.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Con Edison, an endeavor that enables us to promote and share techniques in sustainable construction and operations with the communities of Westchester County,” JBFC Managing Director Dominick Balletta said.
