Air Conditioning Helps Cool New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Alfredo Sanchez stayed cool inside the Avenue Deli, Cafe and Catering during Tuesday's hot weather thanks to his employer's air conditioning.

"As long as we're cool we're fine," Sanchez said. "We can't complain. Inside it's cool, you go outside it's hot."

Temperatures reached the high 90s Tuesday. High levels of heat and humidity made the outside air feel like 105. A heat advisory remained in effect until 9 p.m.

Forecasts call for a high of 88 degrees Wednesday with a low of 63 at night, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday and Friday call for temperatures in the low to mid 80s and low 60s in the evening.
