22-Year-Old Sterling Man Killed In Georgetown Pike Crash Was Speeding, Cops Say Police in Fairfax County have identified the 22-year-old driver killed in a crash on Georgetown Pike this week. Osman Elgamri, of Sterling, was operating a 2017 Lexus IS300 when he left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, county police said. Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Great Falls. Elgamri, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. One Dead In Route 27 Crash In Franklin Township (Update) One person was killed in a crash Thursday, May 9 in Franklin Township (Somerset County), authorities confirmed. Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene at Route 27 near Reler Lane, where a southbound vehicle struck a tree just after 8:05 a.m., Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said. Maria E. Martin, of Triangle, was heading north in a Ford F-150 when she drifted from the center lane to the right lane around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, Virginia State Police said. Martin, who was at the 150-mile marker in Prince William County, struck a tractor trailer, police said. She remained at the scene while the tractor trailer continued north. The Triangle woman was cited for making an unsafe lane change. Martin was not injured in the crash.
