Rivera and his wife, Clara, founded the church in 2009 and moved into the old North Avenue Church in New Rochelle.

“Their generosity is amazing,” Rivera said in a statement. “We appreciate the gifts and the effort they made in bringing them down to us. As part of our annual outreach, the toys will be a blessing to families in need.”

The more than 400 toys collected by the Pirate Toy Fund will be distributed by the church to families in need.
