NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Ralph Parilla of New Rochelle died March 18 after a long illness. He was 67.
He was born in New Rochelle on April 16, 1944 to the late William S. Parilla and Mary Tutinsky Parilla. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Parilla served in the U.S. Marines from 1966 to 1969. For many years, he worked as a trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth "Lisa" Oquendo, his brothers Bill (Janet) Parilla, Bob (Patty) Parilla and John (Sue) Parilla, his sisters Cathy (John) Manning, MaryAnn (Tom) Lane and Peggy (Skip) Murphy, 23 nieces and nephews, 38 grand-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Lloyd Maxcy and Son Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
