Kids ages 7 and older will be able to wear tree-climbing harnesses and hard hats and climb into the canopy of a large, old sugar maple tree under the watchful eyes of experienced Almstead climbers to get a bird's-eye view of the Wave Hill grounds. Arborists from Almstead will also be on hand to answer any tree-related questions from young budding arborists.
“The junior arborist station is a lot of fun for us to do because we get to meet the future arborists and environmentalists from our community,” said Ken Almstead, CEO of Almstead Tree & Shrub Care Co. “We are also very pleased to continue with our support of Wave Hill. Their mission is an important one that aligns perfectly with what we do as a company.”
Arborists from Almstead’s four offices will participate in several Arbor Day celebrations throughout the region during April and May.
