NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Campus Alternative High School students Marcus Fana and Brendan Matabeek from the New Rochelle School District recently led an initiative to support Hope Community Services' food distribution program, resulting in a donation of more than 130 boxes of cereal to the organization.

Also during the month of December, members of Albert Leonard Middle School's Student Council, guided by adviser Susan Granata, collected supplies for animals at the New Rochelle Humane Society.

Thanks to the support of students and staff, the middle school community was able to donate a truckload of toys, food, bedding and more for the neediest animals in the community.
