New Rochelle CPA John "Jack" Grogan Dies at 79

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — John "Jack" Grogan of New Rochelle and Point Lookout, N.Y., died March 16 at age 79. 

A certified public accountant, he was the founder of John J. Grogan and Associates real estate management company in New York City. 

One of three children, he was born June 3, 1932. Grogan graduated from LaSalle Academy in New York City and Manhattan College and was an Army veteran. He served as treasurer for Cushman and Wakefield before founding his management company in 1981.

Grogan was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in New Rochelle and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Point Lookout.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Finn; his children, John, Neil, Kieran, Thomas, Timothy, Margaret Ann and Gregory; his sister, Maureen Kenny; and 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Grogan.

The wake will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Tuesday at Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church.
