Barrie M. Osborne, who grew up in New Rochelle, turns 70 on Friday.
Osborne, a film producer, executive producer, production manager and director, was born Feb. 7, 1944.
Osborne's most notable work is "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," for which he won the Academy Award for Best Picture, which he shares with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. He also produced "The Great Gatsby" remake, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby.
Along with Christian Keller as film director and Mexican entrepreneur Max Appedole, Barrie M. Osborne is preparing a major Latin film with the production of "GLORIA", a biopic about the life of Mexican pop star Gloria Trevi.
