NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Eleanor Charms Seifter of New Rochelle died April 28. She was 96.
She was born Dec. 25, 1915 in Ohio. A musician, Seifter was a music and arts teacher for the City School District of New Rochelle. She was married to the late Sam Seifter.
Seifter is survived by a daughter, Madeleine (David) Abrams; a son, Julian (Betsy) Seifter; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A graveside service was held Friday at Sharon Gardens Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Mt. Vernon.
