Antoinette DiCasoli, 85, of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Antoinette DiCasoli of New Rochelle died on May 12 following a brief illness. She was 85.

DiCasoli was born on Feb. 28, 1927 in Yonkers to Pasquale and Filomena Apicella. Raised in Yonkers, she attended local schools. She worked in the garment industry, where she met her husband, Adam. They were married on Sept. 8, 1951 and settled in the Bronx, where they had two children.

A great caregiver, DiCasoli was happiest when she had a child in her arms. Family was very important to her.

Her husband died in 1988.

DiCasoli is survived by her daughter, Felice (Dennis) Brady; her son, Raymond (Rosario) DiCasoli; a brother, Alphonse; a sister, Angelina; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph, Joe, Jack and Louie; and three sisters, Anne, Madeline and Anna.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at George T. Davis Funeral Home in New Rochelle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday at the Church of St. Joseph in New Rochelle. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
