Working with Westchester Community Opportunity Program and Habitat for Humanity, based in New Rochelle, the shelter is in need of funds to redo the home that is deteriorating, has pipes that constantly burst, is poorly insulated, and has an outdated kitchen and bathrooms.

They need a minimum of 50,000, in addition to money collected at the fundraiser to improve the shelter. They also need people to work during the fundraiser (five to 10 volunteers) and donations of new or used clothes, toys, furniture, electronics that they can sell during the event.

The group has also started a GoFundMe page in an effort to raise the money

The fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 95 Lincoln Ave. in New Rochelle. This event will raise money through the re-sale of donated goods.
