The library will also hold a free introductory video making course on Aug. 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon and editing 101 on Aug. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The contest is open to New Rochelle residents entering grades 9 through 12. Teens will create a 60 to 90 second short following the theme, and their entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals.
First prize is $1,000, second prize is $500 and the third place winner will take home $250. Submissions are due by midnight on Sept. 7.
