NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - Beginning next month, motorists traveling toward the New Rochelle Metro-North train station may have to take a new route.
In August, Station Plaza North will be limited to one-way traffic toward North Avenue, with access to the New Rochelle Transit Center available only through Memorial Highway.
The changes come as the city prepares for the future construction of the North Avenue Bridge, forcing the implementation of a new traffic pattern. As the start of construction approaches, city officials have announced that more information, details and dates will be released in short order.
Flyers with information about the traffic change and construction schedules will be available at the ITC Garage and lobby at the train station. Those with questions or concerns can contact New Rochelle officials at firstname.lastname@example.org.
