NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Screen printing came to Library Green in New Rochelle last weekend as ArteUsable created an “arts intervention” there.
People passing through the park or shopping at the Grand Market on Saturday were able to observe and even participate in the screen printing process and take home a piece of print art.
ArteUsable is Nacho Perez Kinchington and his wife, Paula Garrido Miranda, artists from Santiago, Chile, who are visiting the U.S. this summer. Miranda works with 3-D screen printing; together, the duo produce art exhibitions and make their “art interventions” in public spaces.
They were hosted in New Rochelle by David Krinick of Mesh Studio and the New Rochelle Artists Collective. The arts intervention was sponsored by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
