No sweat, according to Jason Summers, Westchester's Sandbox Theatre's artistic director who acts out every single part in the family interactive musical "A Christmas Wizard of Oz," starting Saturday, Dec. 20 in Mamaroneck.
"For me, it's all about the voices and the physicality," said the New Rochelle native who now resides in Brooklyn. "I work extremely hard in making sure each character has a distinctive way of moving and a particular sound. And really, it's all about practice, practice, practice!"
This is the third year Summers, who has been performing since age eight, has done this show. "Though I've always been a performer, the majority of my career has been spent as a director and choreographer," he said. "Doing a show like this allows me to stretch my acting muscles and make sure they still work."
Expect a performance where you -- and your kids -- get to see all the friends you know from Dorothy's famous trip to Oz return in a musical tale about the joy of giving and the happiness of home.
