Anthony Wooden, director of the Bokandeye African Dance and Drum Troupe, continues a series of free African dance workshops aimed at children seven and older. The workshops take place every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. until Feb. 21.

Parents are welcome, too, as Wooden instructs the class in the ways of native African dance. The workshop includes a look at the cultural meanings of the movements, rhythms and dress,, and the role of the extended family in African village life.

The library will also hold another concert in their ongoing 'Masterworks Conversations' series. The program on Sunday, Jan. 25, will focus on the music created in Vienna.

Pianists Vlada Yaneva and Matthew Harrison will take listeners around the city through Mozart's "Rondo alla turca," Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," a waltz or two and send off listeners with gypsy music, a favorite of Brahms.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. in the library's Ossie Davis Theater. A donation of $2 is suggested.
