New Rochelle Gallery Calling Artists For Freedom, Love, Equality Exhibition

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Council on the Arts will present an exhibition, "Collective Conscience: Love, Respect, and Truth" at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery Feb. 17 to March 31.

There will be an opening reception Feb. 17.

In honor of Black History Month, Women's History Month and Valentine's Day, the exhibit encompasses the themes of freedom, love and equality. 

Artists may submit for consideration original two- and three-dimensional wall-hung work, in all media, not to exceed a hanging weight of 20 pounds.

The work must meet the following requirements: 

  • No free-standing works will be eligible for acceptance, except those granted permission by the Committee. 
  • All work submitted must be available for exhibiting for the duration of the exhibit. 
  • Substitutions will not be allowed. The final work to be exhibited will be selected by the NRCA Rotunda Gallery Committee. 
  • Artists must enter their submission by the Monday, Feb. 8 deadline.

Artists will be notified Wednesday, Feb. 10 and must deliver their work Friday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. to the New Rochelle Council of the Arts at City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle.

The reception begins at 7 p.m. at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery, City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle.

The exhibition runs Feb. 17 to March 31.
