NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Residents who want to show their community pride can purchase their own New Rochelle 325th Anniversary Banner to mark next year's celebration.
Banners cost $325 each, or five for $1,000, and there's an $100 “early bird” discount for orders placed before Oct. 22.
The banners can display the name of an individual, club, organization or business, and will be flown on light posts along North Avenue and other main roadways.
The 325th Anniversary Committee wants to have banners ready by the end of October for the city’s Nov. 17 Thanksgiving Day parade. The banners will remain on display throughout the city for the entire year, the committee said.
Order forms are available on the city’s website, by calling 914-654-2159, or emailing 325@newrochelleny.com.
Those interested can get personalized messages from three to 15 characters each. The space between words will also be counted as a character.

The year-long celebration will include many events honoring the efforts of the city's original French Huguenot settlers to gain religious freedom.
