New Rochelle Resident Opens Bakeshop In Larchmont

Sugar Mama Bakeshop, in the former Crush Wine Bar location, and Estelle Gourmet both deliver items to satifsy anyone's chocolate (or vanilla) cravings.

Sugar Mama, which is celebrating its grand opening this week, is all about cupcakes, brownies, cookies and cakes (with a party room in the back), while Estelle Gourmet, officially three months old, offers French cuisine, catering and cooking classes. On display on a recent day: Coffee macaroons, strawberry tarts, crème brûlée, and a host of soups, paninis and crepes.

The spacious back room of Estelle, named after Owner Estelle Lebbrecht of Scarsdale, is devoted to cooking classes. She also offers meal services, as well as a few cafe seats in front for in-store dining.

Sugar Mama is the extension of a business started on Etsy by New Rochelle resident Kim Conca and also features room for grabbing a cookie and coffee indoors. The store is at 1985 Palmer Ave., (914) 834-8340 while Estelle Gourmet is at 1971 Palmer, (914) 834-5400, www.estellegourmet.com/.
