NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Happy birthday to New Rochelle’s Chuck Zito!
The actor, boxer, celebrity bodyguard and former Hells Angel, turns 63 today, March 1!
Zito, who grew up in the Bronx and New Rochelle, is a real life tough guy played Chuckie Panamo on the HBO prison drama, “Oz.”
He is also known for pounding famed martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme during a dust-up at a Manhattan strip club in the late 1990s, according to media reports.
His dad was also a professional athlete.
A chopper lover, Zito founded the New Rochelle Motorcycle Club. He later joined the Hells Angels, but left in 2005 to pursue an acting career.
As a movie stuntman, Zito appeared in “The Rock,” and “Year of the Dragon.”
Zito also wrote an autobiography, “Street Justice” and expanded into radio with the show Chuck Zito's View on Howard Stern’s Sirius Satellite Radio show.
