Day Camps For Summer Fun Offered In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Children can spend summer with friends doing everything from swimming to sports to music at one of two day camps offered by the city of New Rochelle.

The full-day camps -- at Ward School and Jefferson School -- feature sessions in arts and crafts, group games, sports instruction, music, performing arts, and character building. Camp-wide special events and themed days are scheduled throughout the season. Lunch and snacks will be provided through the Youth Nutrition Program. 

The camp runs from July 5 to August 12 at both schools. Early drop-off is available at the Ward School for a limited number of campers is available on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional cost of $165 per week.

Camp at Ward School - Fee paid before May 20 is $600. Applications received after May 20 must pay full fee of $650; $400 down payment due at time of registration.

Camp at Jefferson School - Fee paid before May 20 is $580. Applications received after May 20 must pay full fee of $630. $300 down payment due at time of registration.

All balances must be paid by Friday, June 3, by 4 p.m.

Applications for financial assistance are available in the Parks and Recreation office for eligible families. Campership application deadline is May 13.

  • Camp Application
  • Medical History & Emergency Form
  • Copy of Immunization Record
  • Down Payment
