The big book sale continues Saturday, Feb. 6.The book sale runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A large array of quality used books-from novels and mysteries in hardcover and paperback, non-fiction in hard-cover and paperback, to children's books, CDs, and DVDs will be available for purchase.
The executive board of the Friends of the Library coordinates the book sales with the assistance of other Friends' volunteers. Money realized from book sales are used to underwrite the Library's extensive public programs.
On Sunday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m., there will be the concert "'Dreams of Love." A concert of love songs and arias by great American and European composers will be presented in the Ossie Davis Theater.
Renowned soprano Faith Esham, Grammy Award-winning star of the opera and concert stage, will perform the music of Foster, Liszt, Mozart, Duparc and Amy Beach. Esham will be accompanied by Diane Guernsey, piano instructor and vocal coach/accompanist at Manhattanville College.
The concert is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library. A donation of $2 is suggested at the door.
