Melts, 144 Bedford Rd, Armonk, (914) 219-5995

Fry Type: In between a straight cut and a shoestring. "Like a meaty cottage fry," explained Owner Nate Kramer.

What Makes Them So Addictive: Fresh, Idaho potatoes are cut in-house; then soaked anywhere from three to six hours in water; then cooked using 100 percent canola oil when an order comes in. Folks rave, too, about the cheese sauce you can dip them in, made with aged white cheddar, American cheese and aged parmesean that is reduced down with cream.

A reminder: Voting ends Tuesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
