What's Happening In New Rochelle This Weekend

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — A neighborhood cookout and the New Rochelle farmers market are some of the events planned for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

Friday, Aug. 31

New Rochelle Farmers Market: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Purchase fresh produce and baked goods and see cooking demonstrations at this weekly market, which continues through the fall. New Rochelle Public Library green, One Library Plaza.

Saturday, Sept. 1

New Rochelle En Plein Air Painting: 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. Residents can paint Long Island Sound waterscapes from the terrace of Wildcliff Manor. 44 Wildcliff Road.

New Rochelle Public Library Hours: The New Rochelle Public Library and Huguenot Children's Library are closed for the Labor Day weekend.

Westchester County Mobile Shredder: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Residents have the opportunity to dispose of documents and other paperwork securely during this once-a-month service by the county to help preserve the environment. Rear parking lot of New Rochelle City Hall. 515 North Ave.

Sunday, Sept. 2
