What's Happening In New Rochelle This Weekend

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The New Rochelle lighted boat parade and farmers market are some of the events planned for this weekend.

Friday, Aug. 10

New Rochelle Farmers Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Customers can purchase fresh produce and baked goods and see cooking demonstrations at this weekly market, which continues until fall. New Rochelle Public Library green, One Library Plaza.

Saturday, Aug. 11

New Rochelle Wildcliff Arts and Crafts Festival: 11 a.m to 5:30 p.m. A free yoga workshop begins at noon. Zumba is offered at 1 p.m., followed by live music with Charles Hipser at 3 p.m. and the Whispering Tree at 4 p.m. Wildcliff Manor, 44 Wildcliff Road.

New Rochelle Concert and Burger Bash: 4 p.m. Alex Berne performs in concert. Woody’s Grill from Cornwall, N.Y., presents its annual burger bash. Wildcliff Manor, 44 Wildcliff Road.

New Rochelle Public Library Hours: The New Rochelle Public Library is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Huguenot Children’s Library is closed.

New Rochelle Lighted Boat Parade: 8:30 to 10 p.m. The community comes together to celebrate the citys’ public parks with a parade of lighted boats along the shoreline of New Rochelle. Lighted boats will parade past Hudson Park and Neptune Park beginning at 8:30 p.m. The event was re-scheduled after inclement weather postponed it from July 28. New Rochelle Municipal Marina. New Rochelle Shoreline at Hudson Park and Pelham roads.

Sunday, Aug. 12

Libraries Closed: The New Rochelle Public Library and Huguenot Children’s library are closed all day.
