Monday, Sept. 24
New Rochelle School Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board meets in a committee of the whole session before its regular monthly meeting at 8 p.m. Webster Elementary School. 95 Glenmore Road, New Rochelle.
Pelham School Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The board meets to discuss third- through eighth-grade students’ performance on English language arts and math tests, as well as Regents exams for eighth-graders through high-school seniors. Assistant Superintendent Peter Giarrizzo will present the results and discuss how the district used this information to help students succeed. Tuesday, Sept. 25
Yom Kippur begins at sundown.
Schools Dismissed Early: New Rochelle elementary students have a half-day. Afternoon prekindergarten is cancelled.
Wednesday, Sept. 26
Schools Closed: New Rochelle schools are closed for Yom Kippur.
Thursday, Sept. 27
New Rochelle Yard Waste Collection: 7 a.m.-8 a.m. The New Rochelle Department of Public Works picks up yard waste from a designated location in the city.
