Monday, Sept. 24
New Rochelle School Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The board meets in a committee of the whole session before its regular monthly meeting at 8 p.m. Webster Elementary School. 95 Glenmore Road, New Rochelle.
Pelham School Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The board meets to discuss third- through eighth-grade students’ performance on English language arts and math tests, as well as Regents exams for eighth-graders through high-school seniors. Assistant Superintendent Peter Giarrizzo will present the results and discuss how the district used this information to help students succeed. Yom Kippur begins at sundown.
Schools Dismissed Early: New Rochelle elementary students have a half-day. Afternoon prekindergarten is cancelled.
Wednesday, Sept. 26
Schools Closed: New Rochelle schools are closed for Yom Kippur.
Thursday, Sept. 27
New Rochelle Yard Waste Collection: 7 a.m.-8 a.m. The New Rochelle Department of Public Works picks up yard waste from a designated location in the city.
