New Rochelle City Council Meeting: 7 to 9 p.m. The City Council holds its regular monthly legislative session to discuss various items, including a petition to extend occupancy limits for Iona College dorms west of the campus. New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave.

Yard Waste Collection: The New Rochelle Department of Public Works collects yard waste from both sides of Eastchester Road, Beechmont Drive and Barnard Road, to the south side of Quaker Ridge Road.

Friday, July 20

New Rochelle Farmers Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Customers can purchase fresh produce and baked goods and see cooking demonstrations at this weekly market, which runs until the fall. New Rochelle Public Library Green, One Library Plaza.
