Monday, Jan. 21

Martin Luther King Jr. Day: New Rochelle and Pelham offices, libraries and schools are closed for the holiday.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

Pelham Kindergarten Registration: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families can register their first-time students to attend Pelham public school next year during the first of this two-day registration period. Those with last names beginning with A through L, whose kindergartners will attend Colonial and Hutchinson elementary schools in the fall, can register from 9 a.m. to noon. Those with last names M through Z have their turn from 1 to 3 p.m. Pelham School District Offices, 18 Franklin Place.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

Pelham Kindergarten Registration: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families can register their first-time students to attend Pelham public schools next year during the second day of this two-day registration period. Those with last names beginning A through L, whose kindergartners will attend Prospect Hill and Siwanoy elementary schools in the fall, can register from 9 a.m. to noon. Those with last names M through Z have their turn from 1 to 3 p.m. Pelham School District Offices, 18 Franklin Place.

Thursday, Jan. 24

New Rochelle School Board Budget Meeting: 7 p.m. Residents can voice their opinions about next year’s school budget during the first special session as the district develops its 2013-14 budget. New Rochelle High School Library, 265 Clove Road.

New Rochelle Alzheimer's Presentation: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. New Rochelle seniors can receive practical answers to questions that arise in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease during this special presentation. Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center, 94 Davis Ave.
