NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Veterans Day events, the final day of a photography exhibit, a book sale, and the New Rochelle Farmers Market are some of the events planned over the long weekend in the New Rochelle and Pelham area.

Friday, Nov. 9

New Rochelle Senior Center Veterans Day Luncheon: This free luncheon honors veterans who come to the senior center. Thirty veterans are currently registered. Huge A. Doyle Senior Center, 94 Davis Ave., New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Farmers Market: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase fresh produce and baked goods and see cooking demonstrations at this weekly market, which continues for two more Fridays. New Rochelle Public Library green, One Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

Saturday, Nov. 10

New Rochelle Photography Exhibit Closure: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work of 27 photographers, who took photos of the Queen City of the Sound on the same day for a book, will be on display for the final day. All profits were donated to the Thomas Paine Cottage and the New Rochelle & Huguenot Historical Society. Lobby of New Rochelle Public Library. One Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Veterans Day Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. to noon. The United Veterans Memorial and Patriotic Association remembers those who served the United States of America during times of war. Memorial Plaza. Memorial Highway Downtown New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Public Library Open: 1 to 5 p.m. The New Rochelle Public Library is open. New Rochelle Public Library. One Library Plaza. New Rochelle.

Huguenot Children’s Library Closed: All day. Huguenot Children’s Library, 794 North Ave., New Rochelle.

Pelham Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Pelham Farmers Market offers produce, breads, pastry, wine and specialty products. Harmon Avenue off Fifth Avenue, Pelham.
