NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- A teen gathering about Japanese animation and an indoor flea market are just some of the events this weekend in New Rochelle. 

Friday, March 8

"LibrAnime" for Teens at the New Rochelle Public Library: 3 to 5 p.m. The Society for the Appreciation of Anime, a group for teen connoisseurs of Japanese animation and its related arts and culture, meets to discuss and view anime and manga. Japanese snacks will be served. Free. Open to students in grade 6 through 12. New Rochelle Public Library Teen Area, second floor, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle. 

"Let's Stomp Out Bullying" Step Show: 6 p.m. Join youth groups the Columbus School Soaring Steppers, Shades of Vision, Vision Steppers and Albert Leonard Leopard P.R.I.D.E. as they STEP to bring awareness and help put an end to bullying in schools. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children. Albert Leonard Middle School is located at 25 Gerada Lane in New Rochelle.

Saturday, March 9

Women Dancing Through History: 2 to 3 p.m. In recognition of March as Women's History Month, AjkunBT presents a special performance evoking the lives of three prominent women from American history associated with St. Paul's -- Anne Hutchinson, Abigail Adams and Eleanor Roosevelt. Introductory lecture offered at 1 p.m. by a historian with the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library. A New Rochelle Council on the Arts Event. Free. St. Paul's Historic Site is located at 897 S. Columbus Ave. in Mount Vernon.

Sunday, March 10

North Avenue Indoor Flea Market: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. American Legion Hall, 112 North Ave., New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Basketball Plays Kingston at West Point: 1 p.m. Go cheer on the New Rochelle Huguenots at West Point in the state playoff quarterfinals against Kingston. The Christl Arena is located in the Holleder Center at 714 Fenton Road in West Point.
