Friday, March 1

Friends of New Rochelle Public Library Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Great deals on books in the first floor lobby of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle. 

From Page to Stage Storytelling Through Playwrighting: 10 a.m. to noon. This free program is for writers ages 55 and up. It is an eight-week series as part of the Lifetime Arts Program will take place on Friday mornings with teaching artist Frank Ingrasciotta at the Town of Pelham Public Library, 530 Colonial Ave., Pelham. Toddler Time: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Lively sessions engage children and their parent or caregivers in music and games at the children’s room at the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

Libr’Anime: 3 to 5 p.m. Society for the Appreciation of Anime, a group for teen connoisseurs of Japanese animation and its related arts and culture, meets to discuss and view anime and manga. Japanese snacks will be served. Open to students in grade 6 through 12. New Rochelle Public Library Teen Area, second floor, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

Saturday, March 2

Line-By-Line Pelham Schools Budget Review: 9 a.m. Budget review of the superintendent’s proposed budget at Alumni Hall, Pelham Memorial High School, 575 Colonial Ave., Pelham.

Friends of New Rochelle Public Library Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Great deals on books in the first floor lobby of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle. 

Needlepoint Workshop: 10:30 to 12 p.m. Community gallery, first floor of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

Ray Rice Victory Rally: 10:30 a.m. Come out to celebrate and congratulate Baltimore Ravens running back and Super Bowl Champion Ray Rice on the steps of New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle. All are invited to bring signs and wear purple to celebrate Rice in his hometown.

Sunday, March 3

North Avenue Indoor Flea Market: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. American Legion Hall, 112 North Ave., New Rochelle.

Opening of “Iona College: Under the Rug” Exhibit: Noon to 5 p.m. Iona College Council on the Arts presents “Under The Rug: A Look at Institutional Dishonesty” at 715 North Ave., New Rochelle through April 11. The opening reception will be from 1 to 3 p.m.

Crochet Workshop: 1 to 5 p.m. Community gallery, first floor of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, New Rochelle.
