Friday, Dec. 7

New Rochelle Holiday Boutique: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase holiday gifts at this one-day event. Webster School, 95 Glenmore Road, New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Find items at bargain prices for the holidays at the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library’s monthly book sale. The organization will also sell 2013 calendars, gift wrap and tote bags. Event continues 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. New Rochelle Public Library, One Library Plaza, New Rochelle. 

New Rochelle Winter Literacy Festival: 3:30 p.m. Jefferson Elementary kindergartners and first-graders hold a festival about literacy. Jefferson Elementary School, 131 Weyman Ave., New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Family Food And Fitness Night: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Residents can eat, learn and have fun with Jefferson physical education staff during this fun evening. Jefferson Elementary School gymnasium, 131 Weyman Ave., New Rochelle.

Pelham Middle School Dance: 7 to 9 p.m. The school’s seventh and eighth grade GO Dance is held. Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham.

Saturday, Dec. 8

New Rochelle Holiday Boutique and Bake Sale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Buy items for the holidays at this special boutique. Good eats will also be available for purchase to support the fifth grade. Trinity Elementary School, 180 Pelham Road, New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Holiday Dinner And Dance: 2 to 6 p.m. Celebrate the start of the holiday season with a meal of mushroom soup, chicken cordon bleu, rice pilaf, salad, and dessert. Music will be provided by Peter Childs. Cost is $10 with an omni-card, and $20 without. Door will open at 1:45 p.m. New Rochelle Senior Center, 94 Davis Ave., New Rochelle.

New Rochelle Fundraiser: 1 to 6 p.m. Habitat For Humanity of Westchester holds a fundraiser to help those who lost homes during Hurricane Sandy. DJ World Famous will provide music. There is a suggested donation of $10. A 50/50 raffle will also be held at $5 a ticket. All other donations will be accepted. Dudleys, 94 Hudson Park Road, New Rochelle.

Pelham ACT Exam: Registered students can take the American College Test exam.

Happy holidays: The Hanukkah holiday begins at sundown.

Sunday, Dec. 9

The New Rochelle Public Libraries will be closed in observance of Hanukkah.
