What To Do In The New Rochelle Area This Weekend

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A memorial service and a holiday boutique are among the events this weekend in the New Rochelle and Pelham area.

Friday, Nov. 30

Pelham Holiday Boutique Ends: Residents have one last opportunity to purchase gift items from Pelham High School’s holiday boutique. Pelham High School, 575 Colonial Ave., Pelham. 

Pelham Middle and High School Parent-Teacher Conferences: Pelham parents meet with their children’s teachers to find out how their kids are doing in school. Students in the sixth through 12th grades do not have class. Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Place. Pelham High School, 575 Colonial Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 1

New Rochelle Bookstore: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Residents can buy books and other items at bargain prices at the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library's annual book sale. New Rochelle Public Library, One Library Plaza.

Pelham SAT Exam: Pelham High School juniors and seniors can take the Scholastic Assessment Test. Pelham High School. 575 Colonial Ave.

New Rochelle Holiday Boutique: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can buy items for the holidays at this special holiday boutique. Attendees will also be able to have their photos taken, and printed on the spot. Jefferson Elementary School. 131 Weyman, Ave., New Rochelle.

Sunday Dec. 2

Iona College Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Iona College holds a memorial service for the school’s former men’s basketball assistant coach, Kenny Williamson, who died of cancer Nov. 13 at age 65. Spellman Hall, Iona College. 715 North Ave. A reception will follow in Hynes Center West.

Library Closings: The Huguenot Children’s Library and the Pelham Public Library are closed. The New Rochelle Public Library is open 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
