Monday, Dec. 10

Pelham PACT Authors Series: 7:30 p.m. Pelham authors Lauren Carner, who is also a psychologist, and Angela Iadavaia will discuss how to “Raise Caring and Capable Kids with Habits of Mind” during this free event, part of the Pelham library’s fall authors series. Refreshments will be provided. Books will be available for signing and purchase. The event is rescheduled from Nov. 1. Town of Pelham Library, 530 Colonial Ave.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

New Rochelle City Council Meeting: 6 p.m. The New Rochelle City Council meets an hour earlier than usual to discuss amendments to the proposed 2013 city budget. The council will then hold its regular legislative meeting at 7 p.m., when it hopes to adopt the budget. New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

New Rochelle elementary schools have a half-day for parent-teacher conferences.

Thursday, Dec. 13

Pelham High School Concert: 7 p.m. The Pelham High School Orchestra holds its winter concert. Pelham High School auditorium, 575 Colonial Ave.
