Jim Killoran, chief executive officer, of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester, will walk 10.1 miles from Yonkers to Larchmont to mark Habitat’s progress. Not everyone who signs up with a sponsor will have to walk 10.1 miles. The actual walk is less than two miles so the whole family can join – young, seniors and everyone in between.
“This walk is an effort to bring awareness. There is no affordable housing; we need to help meet the needs of everyone who cannot afford a home,” Killoran said. “This fundraiser will help veterans and families build affordable homes in Westchester.”
The walk continues from Village Hall in Larchmont and continues to Manor Park and back to Constitution Park. Everyone will then cross the street for refreshments in St. Augustine’s cafeteria.
Sponsors for the Habitat for Humanity team include Caldwell Bank as well as Post Wine and Spirits in Larchmont.
