Focusing on the culture of Vienna, acclaimed pianists Matthew Harrison and Vlada Yaneva will perform various pieces including Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata,” Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude,” and Mozart’s “Turkish March Sonata.”
Works by Friedman-Gartner, Kreisler- Rachmaninoff, Brahms, and Ravel, will round-out the narrated concert.
Harrison is a pianist and lecturer with a master’s degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music.
Yaneva began studying music when she was six at the National School of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has earned prizes in numerous competitions including the 2000 Young Musical Talent National Competition in Sofia and the 1999 Dimitar Nenov Competition for Young Pianists in Razgrad, Bulgaria. For the last ten years, Vlada has been residing and teaching in New York, and performing throughout the United States and Europe.
