Expect "Grand BudaPesto Mozzarell" (crostini topped with fresh mozzarella and aromatic pesto) in honor of Best Picture nominee "Grand Budapest Hotel," "BirdHam," aka chicken with prosciutto and fontina cheese for "Birdman," and "WhipMash," truffled roasted garlic cauliflower mash for, you guessed it, "Whiplash." See the list here.

Live entertainment, screenings of movie clips, a silent auction, raffle, swag bags, and a red carpet are also on the menu.

It's all part of the First Annual "Red Carpet Celebration of the Oscars," being held at the Westchester Italian Cultural Center Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. The event features a menu that's a combination of recipes form  "Red Carpet Menus," a book by Annette Zito who blogs at KitchAnnette.

While the Tuckahoe resident admits she loves movies, she says she's come to love creating unique dishes that are themed to each Best Picture nomination more. "I'm not pulling for anyone in particular to win," she says. "I'm just happy when the meal works with the movie."

The evening includes a host of area sponsors, among them Yonkers Brewing Co., the Alamo Drafthouse, White Plains' Brother Jimmy's BBQ, and New Rochelle's Da Giorgio, and Spadaro.

Admission is $45 with proceeds going towards the Westchester Italian Cultural Center children’s programs. Contact the Center directly for information: (914) 771-8700 or www.wiccny.org/.
