PELHAM, N.Y. -- Action and adventure await budding filmmakers at the Picture House Regional Film Center’s Spring Break camps taking place Monday, April 10 through Thursday, April 13 in Pelham.
Using the hit "The Lego Batman Movie" as their inspiration, students will create a new action-adventure short film each day of camp.
Whether it's a caper, mystery or stop motion animation, students will have the opportunity to be behind and in front of the camera as they bring their imaginations to life on film.
All films will be a part of the Picture House's Student Showcase in October where student films from spring and summer semesters will be featured on the big screen in TBH's main hall.
Parents will also receive a link to each video from camp to share and download at their convenience.
Spring Break camp at the Picture House is open to students in grades K- 2 and 3- 5. Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to noon with an extended day option available.
When choosing the extended day option, students may bring their lunch, have some popcorn on TBH, and enjoy watching "The Lego Batman Movie" in the main hall, or another children’s movie in the screening room.
Lunch and movie are fully supervise; and extended day hours are from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Spring Break camp is $65/student per day and, extended day is $90/student per day. Picture House members at the Family Level and above receive a 10-percent discount.
