A week into their second season on Fox-TV, Orlando Jones and Lyndie Greenwood helped celebrate the village's Halloween season during a ceremony with Sleepy Hollow Mayor Ken Wray and Police Chief Gregory Camp. Wray gave Jones, who plays Captain Frank Irving, and Greenwood, who plays Jenny Mills, a key to the village "so they can come back whenever they want."
Jones said he looked forward to visiting Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and the grave of author Washington Irving, where it all began.
More than 200 area residents cheered as the actors exited their black SUV and mingled with fans. Their show's second season premiered on Monday.
"I want to go to the cemetery,'' Jones declared. "We're going to hallowed ground. . .I haven't been here since I was a kid."
Sleepy Hollow High School freshmen Arianna Zepeda and Evelyn Valero soaked up the village drama Friday. They said Jones and Greenwood were the first television stars they'd ever seen up close and personal.
"It's exciting,'' Valero said.
"She's very pretty,'' Zepeda said of Greenwood.
