Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Area, Police Say

Dutchess County Sheriff's officers are investigating a crash in which a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Rhinebeck.

The incident took place around 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the intersection of White Schoolhouse Road and Slate Quarry Road, Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office said.

As of 430 p.m., police had blocked off Slate Quarry Road between Wurtemburg Road and White Schoolhouse Road, to conduct an investigation, Watterson said.

Watterson said additional information was not available at this time, including the victim's condition.
