'Rip Van Winkle' This Weekend In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle Council On The Arts, local singing group Songcatchers, and Tutti Bravi Productions present Washington Irving’s two-act children’s operetta “Rip Van Winkle"  this weekend at Daniel Webster Elementary School, 95 Glenmore Drive.

The show will be held Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with a matinee Sunday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students. For more information, call (914) 654-1178.

The shows are being held in honor of "Rip Van Winkle" composer Nicolas Flagello of New Rochelle, who passed away prematurely in 1994 at age 66.
