Greenburgh Schools Superintendent Receives Inspiration Award

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Greenburgh Central School District Superintendent of Schools Tahira Dupree Chase was the recipient of the Inspiration Award at the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.'s Eta Omega Omega chapter's Historically Black Colleges and Universities Awards Luncheon.

The luncheon in the Bronx honored Chase, a graduate of Norfolk State University, for her dedication to making a difference in education and inspiring young people to achieve their dreams.

She was one of six individuals recognized at the luncheon, which also featured the Rev. Calvin O. Butts III of the Abyssinian Baptist Church as keynote speaker.

The luncheon was co-sponsored by Wheeler, Wilson & Johnson Community Projects, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
