For over a decade, Austin music ensemble has been crafting original silent film scores that combine rock and orchestral music. The group's special live performance an original score that blends their unique sound with vocals, sampling and elements of Bela Bartok's "Six Romanian Folk Dances."

Their soundtrack for "Nosferatu" is written for four players and includes electric guitar, bass, violin, keyboard, music box, synthesizer, bass clarinet, flute, glockenspiel, bass guitar and "all manner of percussion."

The group performs regularly throughout Texas, New Mexico and Alabama, and its 2016 Halloween tour of this performance will take it through 14 states.

Roger Ebert gave the film four stars out of four in a 1997 review. "'Nosferatu' remains effective: It doesn't scare us, but it haunts us," he said. "It shows not that vampires can jump out of shadows, but that evil can grow there, nourished on death."

Tickets to the "Nosferatu" screening and special live performance are $15, or $12 for students and seniors. You can buy them here or at the box office, 175 Wolfs Lane, in Pelham.

The evening will begin at at 9 p.m.

The special screening and live performance is part of the Picture House's Friday Night Frights series, which will highlight a different horror movie each week throughout the month of October.
