The New Rochelle Council on the Arts is partnering with Nissan of New Rochelle to sponsor the “Arts Encounters" series.
The NRCA inaugurated its series of monthly Arts Encounters, pop-up performances, in unexpected public places last year.
“The idea is to remind everybody how the arts enrich our daily lives by bringing art to people where they live,” said NRCA president Theresa Kump Leghorn.
These Arts Encounters will include “Dance En Plein Air” – dance performances at Ruby Dee Park on Library Green every Saturday during the Farmers Market, and the train station series.
Performances are 5:30-7 p.m. at the Metro North station on June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, July 7, 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4, 11, 18 and 25.
